WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Make sure you want to urinate during the appointment by drinking a lot of water, because a urine sample should be taken to check for the presence of the bacteria causing the infection.

To drink a lot of water!
Drinking cranberry juice or eating cranberries can help reduce the urge to urinate.

Urinary tract infection is normally easily treated with antibiotics. Symptoms are often improved in the first 24 hours. Even if the symptoms are no longer present, the prescribed treatment must be terminated.
