WHAT IS AN EAR WASH?
Earwashing or ear cleaning involves removing the earwax that has lodged in the ear canal by injecting water through specific medical equipment. This painless technique is done under a collective prescription by a nurse, as in a medical clinic.

PREPARATION BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
Before your appointment for an ear wash, you must instill 3 to 4 drops of mineral oil morning and evening, keep your head tilted for 5 minutes, and this 3 to 4 days minimum before your appointment.
In general, washing is inefficient during poor preparation. Fees will apply even if the wash is not effective. It is therefore very important to follow the procedure of instillation of oil drops.

Why is there an earwax plug in the ear?
Earwax flows naturally from the ear canal. On the other hand, some people develop earwax plugs for various reasons:
Signs and symptoms
The presence of cerumen plug may be present with or without symptoms. Possible symptoms may be: having the sensation of a clogged ear or pressure in the ears; irritation and / or itching; pain and / or discomfort ringing and tinnitus; dizziness and balance disorders; partial or total hearing loss. These symptoms can be amplified by plane.
Treatment
When an earwax plug is present, it is important to have it removed by a health professional to prevent the onset of symptoms or worsening. The ear wash is ideally done beforehand with a preparation of drops of mineral oil for a few days. It is pain free and usually gives a pleasant feeling after draining the cap.
